If your business manufactures, imports or rebrands electrical or electronic goods in the UK then you must comply with the UK Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment (WEEE) Regulations.
If your business is obligated under the WEEE regulations, you must take a number of steps, which include:
1. Join a WEEE compliance scheme within 28 days of when you first placed electrical items on to the market.
2. Register with an approved Producer Compliance Scheme (PCS) or with the Environment Agency directly
3. Declare the tonnages of EEE you place on the UK market
4. Ensure products are correctly marked with the crossed out wheeled bin and date mark
5. Ensure responsibilities in relation to funding WEEE recovery are met
Our approved WEEE compliance scheme helps businesses to meet the WEEE regulations, with unrivalled member support, cost-effective packages and a variety of WEEE membership categories for all producers of electrical and electronic equipment (EEE).
Our low cost and simple to use approach has attracted around 500 members and we continue to grow.
We are confident that we can give you the best deal for your WEEE compliance, with a variety of membership options, exceptional member support, and an easy to use online members’ area.
Our members benefit from a dedicated account manager who provides specialist support throughout the process of arranging compliance, and beyond.
We also provide regular communication and updates to keep our members informed of the latest developments within the industry.
We have developed a network of partner sites that offer recycling solutions for those looking to dispose of their unwanted or broken electrical and electronic equipment. Our WEEE recycling network not only supports an increase in WEEE recycling by offering convenient alternatives to civic amenity sites across the UK, but it also means we can get the best prices possible for our members’ WEEE obligations.
From the most sophisticated Approved Authorised Treatment Facilities (AATFs), to the ‘man with a van’ local clearance specialists, we work with the full spectrum of recycling sites across the UK.
If you would like to join our members and take advantage of the benefits we provide at Comply with Clarity, talk to us about joining our scheme or to get a no-obligation quote.
Registration with our WEEE compliance scheme is quick and easy and you will be fully supported by an account manager throughout the process.
If you are unsure about how the WEEE Regulations affect your business or what you need to comply. Get in touch with our WEEE specialists who can help you further.
