Clarity operate a national auto battery take-back scheme on behalf of a major International Battery Manufacturer operating in Germany, Belgium and Spain. On arrival at the plants, the battery casings are stripped and the plastic is granulated and reformed into new casings. The lead content is smelted and reformed into new battery plates, which are then placed into new batteries.
We operate a national collection service utilizing designated vehicles from our licensed waste transfer station located in Birmingham. We provide plastic battery boxes for safe storage and transportation. On arrival at the waste transfer station, the batteries are packed and shipped under an Export License to one of the aforementioned smelting plants.
We also offer a similar, national collection service for consumer batteries which are then packed at our licensed facility in Birmingham and exported to a specialized treatment facility in Germany.
To request a quote, please inform us of the volume of the lead acid batteries you would like collected, along with a contact name, telephone number and email.
