We recycle lead acid batteries on behalf of a major international battery manufacturer who recovers the lead from scrap automotive batteries and uses it to produce new ones.
We collect scrap batteries from businesses across the UK and send them to one of our packing hubs, where we carry out stringent quality control checks. We have partnered with a network of strategically located hubs across the UK, which allows us to keep our rates competitive and reduces our carbon footprint by limiting travel time.
We provide all packing hubs with plastic battery boxes, which ensures safe storage and transportation of the lead acid batteries. Once safely packed, we arrange for the scrap batteries to be exported under transfrontier shipment (TFS) regulations to European smelters, where the lead is recovered and used in the manufacture of new automotive batteries.
If you are looking to recycle lead acid batteries, our team offers excellent market rates and free, prompt and reliable collections of scrap vehicle batteries across the UK. Get in touch with our team if you would like to arrange a collection of scrap lead acid batteries, or fill in our simple online collection form and a member of our team will get in touch.
