European directive on packaging and packaging waste

Packaging recycling obligations for packaging producers are determined by national business targets set by the government. The targets are intended to ensure that the UK complies with the packaging recycling targets set out in European Directive on packaging and packaging waste.

In 2013 split targets for glass were introduced. The targets for individual businesses with an obligation in glass are as follows:
