Although Clarity, or API Trading as it was then called, was established by David Adams in 2002, the history of the business extends much further back. The Adams family transport business was established by his great-grandmother, grandfather and great-uncle in 1933. When David’s father John joined, the company developed into one of the largest family-owned waste disposal companies in the UK, with services including hazardous and non-hazardous waste disposal, and operating toxic waste landfill sites. The family business was subsequently sold, and in 1999 John became one of the first independent brokers of P(E)RNS. Despite Clarity being initially set up for the sale of P(E)RNS, over the next eight years it experienced substantial growth and is now one of the UK’s largest trader of P(E)RNS, as well as providing many other services.
In 2009, API Trading was re-branded as Clarity Environmental, following our relocation to Woodingdean Business Park.
